All About Canada AIP Program

Launched in 2017, the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) has brought in 10,000+ new permanent residents to Atlantic Canada. Comprising New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island, these provinces collectively form Atlantic Canada. Building on its success, the pilot program became permanent on December 17, 2021, and was renamed Atlantic Immigration Program. The permanent program started on January 1, 2022, enabling employers in the Atlantic provinces to hire immigrants for jobs and offering a pathway to permanent residence.
